Ladies, it's time that we get real for a moment. Stop lying to yourself about how neat and tidy you are because we both know that's not the truth. Yes I know about those "oh shoot I forgot to clean my bra" moments or worse, "I forgot to throw my undies in the wash" realization when you are on your way out the door. Once you accept the fact that you are not superhuman (because come one, who has time to wash every single clothing item every single day), then you can move forward with your life and figure out a rocking strategy to help you win in the game of "not smelling bad in life".

The first piece of advice I have to offer is to ALWAYS carry a small tube of perfume or scented spray with you. You never know when it could come in handy, and let me tell you, that time will come sooner rather than later. Nothing is worse than stress sweating because of a test or because the cutest guy in school winked at you and now you have to hide in the bathroom all day so nobody has to get a whiff of you as you walk by.

Secondly, and even more importantly, DON'T EVER forget to put deodorant on!!! I repeat, please don't for your sake and for mine. Just because we are girls doesn't mean that we don't stink from time to time. I feel like nobody ever wants to admit that, so that I'm glad that I just said it for you. Now they even make small portable deodorants that look like Eos lip gloss that are perfect to hide in your "trousse" (french for pencil pouch).

Pro tip: if you do forget to wear deodorant, run to the nearest bathroom and when no-one is looking a little hand soap will do the job just fine (I hate how I know that but just go with it, oh and yes that is a true story)

Thirdly ladies remember to shave your arm pits. I mean I have nothing against boycotting shaving all the way but if you have made the decision to do so, then remember to do so. Stubble is the worst, especially when one is wearing the cutest spaghetti strap dress of all time.

Another point that I should probably bring up )since we are girls), is the issue most of us have to deal with on a monthly basis. OUR PERIODS... See not so scary when I spell it out in full caps. For the most part we all go through it, so it's just something that we have to take care of and put our big girl panties on for ( literally and figuratively :) ). A tip that i learned when throwing "them" away is to wrap it in toilet paper to cover up the evidence, haha. And yes, in case you are wondering, I get extremely hungry when I'm on my period.

Pro-tip: If you forget a pad at home, a nicely folded wad of toilet paper will do the job just fine. OHHH and make sure that if you make the dangerous decision to wear leggings (while on your period), that you can't see your pad when you walk by someone. I usually have my mom or a close friend check (prob not the best idea to ask a random person on the street):)

And lastly (for now) remember to embrace all the little quirks that make YOU. Don't be too hard of yourself for not being able to be perfect 110 percent of the time. Try not to stress too much because that can also cause acne but also remember that acne is part of growing up. You'd be missing out on a key teenager experience if you always had perfect skin.

So, I'll leave you with this.... stop reading this and go get some beauty sleep ;)

xoxo, Hannah
